If tis a gold or purple and you dont meet the req, you woul be right, it woudl give you a net energy +1.

Thing is, its a green, so like collectors weapons and blues or whites if you dont meet the req, it only gives you + 3 energy.

This is why Golds are in some cases better than greens, for example a shield that a ele farmer with -2 while enchanted, would be better to have agold one than a green, as the gold would give an extra 5 armour ver the green one.

Gold Shields are clearly better than Green/Collector Shields - has been tested multiple times. However, I wasn't aware this was the case with focii.

On a side note, there are 2 Rotescales:

One is a Ranger that is in Sanctum Cay mission, this one is a boss:

He used to be a monk but now is a necro.

Anyone else think it is kind of sad that 2 months after Factions release Anet has to add new items to the game to keep people interested? O.o

Edit: for those saying they 'have' to do it... Most of us enjoy the game as it is, and these little things just give a reason to do something in places that are usually just a passing-through area.

I've heard of a Green Sai in Kaneig.

Max damage, +5 energy, 20/20 Sundering, 20%enchant. Dunno if its new, but saw some guys selling that yesterday

that axe is rediculously easy to get. A guildy and I got dropped 5 on our 1st run. 4 for him and 1 for me...maybe they messed up with the drop rate.

I tried soloing The Falls last night with my warrior. Getting to the Root Behemoths isn't too hard, but killing the bastards is - each Behemoth has 3-5 Life Pods that pop up around them. The Behemoths spam the hell out of Wild Blow, too. I killed 1 Behemoth and maybe 2 or 3 Life Pods before I gave up. The little Life Pods never run out of energy to spam heal each other and the Behemoths.

I ended up buying a Totem Axe for 50k, then selling it 5 minutes later for 70k in Kaineng.

My fire ele has no problem farming the area at all, solo or in a group.

That contest has been in the works for a long time, that most certainly wasn't the reason for the new items.
